- 8 tbsp butter
- 2 cups soft red wheat flour
- ½ cup sorghum flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder

- 1 cup buttermilk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Butter a large cast-iron skillet or large cake pan. Set aside.
- Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl. Using a pastry cutter or a fork, incorporate the cold butter until your mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Slowly add the buttermilk, creating a shaggy, soft dough.
- Using a large spoon, drop 16 equal-sized mounds into the prepared skillet or cake pan, spacing them about an inch apart. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
